LISA PRELLER
MS, CNM, RN, LM
Founder, Empowered Midwifery Care PLLC & Evolve Integrative Health
From an early age, Lisa Preller felt a deep calling toward advocacy, particularly in reproductive justice and healthcare equity. Her career path has not been a straight line but rather a beautifully evolving spiral—each turn building upon the last, shaping her into the midwife, entrepreneur, and community leader she is today.
Lisa began her journey as a college athlete, channeling her leadership skills into coaching as a high school teacher and varsity basketball coach. It was through these formative years that she discovered her passion for mentorship, education, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. But it was motherhood that profoundly shifted her perspective, igniting a deep curiosity about pregnancy, birth, and the systems surrounding them.
Balancing nursing school with raising her children, Lisa took on the challenge of working night shifts as an RN while caring for her family during the day—an experience that solidified her dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. This unwavering commitment led her to midwifery school, where she trained as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Licensed Midwife, dedicated to offering personalized, holistic, and evidence-based care to individuals throughout their reproductive journeys.
In 2021, Lisa founded Empowered Midwifery Care PLLC (EMC), a practice rooted in inclusivity, autonomy, and reimagining healthcare beyond traditional models. Seeing a greater need for integrative, whole-person health solutions, she expanded her vision with the launch of Evolve Integrative Health (EIH) in February 2025—a space where functional and integrative medicine intersect with midwifery, creating an innovative, patient-first approach to wellness.
Through EMC and EIH, Lisa is disrupting the standard healthcare model, ensuring that reproductive and hormonal health care is accessible, empowering, and inclusive. She remains committed to building community, advocating for patient autonomy, and leading with heart and purpose.
Lisa’s journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and the power of transformation—from athlete to educator, from nurse to midwife, and now, as an entrepreneur redefining healthcare for the next generation.
